Indian cricket team 2024 schedule

From the T20 World Cup to the tour to Australia, the Indian cricket team's schedule for 2024 is a must.

The Indian men's cricket team traveled to nine teams in the 2023 ODI World Cup, only to see Australia burn in front of a huge crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the final.

2024 began with Rohit Sharma and Co registering their maiden win in the two-match Test series in South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town, which ended 1-1. But there is more to come in a year when India will play 15 Test matches and the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States.

Here is a look at the plans for the team until January 2024.

Three T20Is vs Afghanistan: January 11-17

Afghanistan tour India for a three-match T2oI series in the first half of the month. The return of captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the T20 squad for the first time since the 2022 World Cup has raised the question of whether they can be part of the T20 squad for the World Cup later this year. Meanwhile, Hardik and Suryakumar adadav - both of whom have led the team in the shorter formats - are recovering from injuries.

1st T20: January 11, Mohali

2nd T20: January 14, Indore

3. T20: January 17, Bangalore

Five English Tests: 25 January - 11 March

A festive offer

England will tour India for a Test series for the first time since 2016. Their previous visit to India was in 2021, when the Virat Kohli-led side won the four Tests 3-1. England are the only two teams to have won a Test series in India since 2001, though it was interesting to witness England's ultra-aggressive style of baseball taking its toll against the Indian spinners. Will Ben Stokes lead them to glory in 2024 or will it be a home dominance story for India?

Test 1: January 25-29, Hyderabad

Test 2: February 2-6, Visakhapatnam

Test 3: February 15-19, Rajkot

Test 4: February 23-27, Ranchi

5th Test: March 7-11, Dharamsala

IPL 2024: March-May

While the governing body BCCI and IPL are yet to announce the final date, the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is expected to start from March 2022 and run till the end of May before the T20 World Cup. This will be the third season, seen as a dress rehearsal for 10 teams and the World Cup.

T20 World Cup: June 1-29

The ninth edition of the tournament will see India looking to end their ICC trophy drought since 2013. A few years ago in Australia, Rohit Sharma-led India were defeated by defending champions England in the semifinals. A 10-wicket haul.

It will be the first instance of 20 teams participating in the competition - five are divided into four groups each, with the top two from each advancing to the Super 8, which will then determine the four semifinalists.

Bilateral has not been dated

After this year's premium cricket tournament, there are many offers for the Indian men's cricket team. Although the final date of the bilateral competition is yet to be announced, the details of the tournament are already known.
